Explanation of titanium anode coating failure

The customer purchased Titanium substrate for precious metal coating abroad, but encountered the problem of anode failure,  after analyzed with the assistance of our technicians, and our company put forward the following feedback for the reference of customers with similar problems:

anode failure determination is related to the standard, mainly based on the anode in use, voltage or tank voltage in a period of time, and has remained at a high level. In this case, we predict the problem of the anode plate, and then carry out voltage test on the anode plate one by one, find out the problem of the anode plate and put forward to observe the coating surface.
Generally, the normal failure of the anode plate surface coating is characterized by three types:
A. The four sides of the anode plate are white and extend to the middle of the plate at the same time, resulting in A smaller coating area, which makes the voltage increase.
B. Electric corrosion or breakdown on the surface of the anode plate caused by current overload leads to local defects or obvious etchments of the coating, which affects the uneven distribution of current and thus increases the voltage.
C. Grams of precious metal is not enough to support the technical parameters of the use environment, resulting in excessive coating consumption, thus increasing the voltage.
To sum up: In the product photos provided by your company, we do not see obvious consumption of the anode plate coating surface, nor obvious electrocorrosion phenomenon, but there are some differences in the surface color of the coating. The color of the precious metal coating is all black and gray, and the coating color in the photos is obviously grayish blue (possibly because of the photo Angle or light).
2. From the anode assembly photo provided by your company, we can see that the anode used by your company is spliced by three anode plates. The splicing gap between the plate and the plate is inconsistent, with the dislocation of the height and front, which will affect the distance between the anode and the cathode. All of this is reflected in the photos. (Although the splicing of three anode plates will bring some convenience to the installation and subsequent maintenance and replacement, there are not many advantages in terms of comprehensive operation cost, but there will be some unpredictable quality or production operation problems).
